one step further, one step closer
I’d be disappointed with myself if I returned back to Norway with the same photos from Haiti as last year
(not that it’s literally possible, but I’m guessing you know what I mean?)
Therefore, I have a new photo motto. It goes something like this: get CLOSER, you!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Lost in the Details
I immediately remembered these pictures, when I saw this week’s photo challenge. Getting lost in the details is too easy on 5th Avenue. I was in a haze the whole time. It was kind of unreal with the crowds, cars, shops, lights, sounds, reflections, freezing wind… Good thing I took photos!
A street in cake city

I really liked the houses in Lille, everything was so cupcake-like, especially in the centre – I read now that “Lille features an array of architectural styles with various amounts of Flemish influence” @Wiki.
I enjoyed discovering the city on my own very much, and I’m happy to report that I managed to walk most of the Historic Architecture Walking Tour in Lille, although I didn’t know I actually wandered along a route at that time 😛
After closing hours
Decemb…-what?

All bloggers writing about Christmas made me realize that we’re in December all of the sudden. The streets have ben illuminated for weeks already, but now Christmas is actually coming to town.
I love Christmas; the decorations, the songs and the presents make me very happy, but I haven’t really gotten around to buy gifts myself yet, and that makes me very stressed.
Is it even possible to find the perfect present for everyone you care about in three weeks?
