A street in cake city

I really liked the houses in Lille, everything was so cupcake-like, especially in the centre – I read now that “Lille features an array of architectural styles with various amounts of Flemish influence” @Wiki.
I enjoyed discovering the city on my own very much, and I’m happy to report that I managed to walk most of the Historic Architecture Walking Tour in Lille, although I didn’t know I actually wandered along a route at that time 😛
Alone under the skies
I realize that I forgot to share any pictures of Lille, a pretty French city where I got to spend a part of my Christmas holidays. Even though I didn’t have much time there, I got to see a lot of the city because I climbed up this monster:

Heights make me uncomfortable, especially when I’m facing them alone. I had hoped to share a cabin with the couple in front of me in line, but the chief of boarding had other plans. He probably thought their ride would be more romantic for them without me.

xo xo, the survivor :-p
