Alone under the skies

I realize that I forgot to share any pictures of Lille, a pretty French city where I got to spend a part of my Christmas holidays. Even though I didn’t have much time there, I got to see a lot of the city because I climbed up this monster:

Not the statue, the wheel

Heights make me uncomfortable, especially when I’m facing them alone. I had hoped to share a cabin with the couple in front of me in line, but the chief of boarding had other plans. He probably thought their ride would be more romantic for them without me.

There they are, happy as clams probably happy as clams!

And it was far down - view of a christmas tree

And it was far down

The view was nice though - city

The view was nice though

Notice how the houses in Lille look like cakes from above?

xo xo, the survivor :-p

  1. That city looks beautiful. I wish there was somewhere like that on this side of the pond.
I really like the Christmas tree through the gate. The color and textures of the cabin come through fantastically. :)
    Also, I now desire cake.

Strange architectural features, a mixture of Gallic and Germanic with a whiff of Northern European Renaissance. Fascinating.
